MF ACTIVA S

New MF Activa 7240

A new model of the Activa range is available for harvest 2009.
The entry-level Activa 7240 provides farmers and small contractors with a straight-forward, reliable and cost-effective entry to new combine ownership with a new machine designed specifically for their requirements. The Activa 7240 means these users do not have to compromise by buying a second-hand machine that may be too large, less reliable and more complex.

The combine’s straight-forward and uncomplicated design not only makes the machine affordable, it is also particularly suited to those looking secure their harvests with their own and reliable combine. Moreover, some smaller area growers are also looking for a combine to access narrow lanes and small fields.

Most of the features are similar to the larger models of Activa range, differences are shown on next pages. 

To ensure the fixed feed conveyor and header drive a 2 HB-Belt is mounted.

A new type of cab is used for the MF Activa 7240. It is fitted as standard with air conditioning, a comfortable mechanically suspended driver seat and manually adjustable mirrors. 8 powerful lights are mounted for best working conditions during night work.
To monitor all main functions of the machine a single computer is installed. All main machine datas are shown at the same time and can be monitored any time. The displays are easy to understand and usage  of the computer is very intuitive.

3 levers mounted in the cab on the left hand side of the driver‘s seat ensure the easy engagement of the threshing elements. They are used for header, threshing system and unloading auger. The threshing concave can be adjusted independently front and rear. For this 2 cranks are mounted inside the cab.

MF Activa 7240 is equipped with an IVECO NEF 6.7 l engine. This engine has an output of 129 kW/ 176 HP. It is a 6 cylinder mechanically controlled engine with a rotary fuel pump.

The grain tank of MF Activa 7240 has a capacity of 5.200l. A horizontal auger ensures an even distribution of crop in the grain tank and also the maximum usage of the capacity.

MF Activa 7240 has a turret unloading system with a high discharing rate of 85l/s. Controls are located at the multi function lever. A unloading height of 4.2m ensures unloading to all trailers in all conditions.

New Model MF Activa S 7247

A new model of the Activa S range is available from harvest 2008/2009.
These new machines will further enhance the performance and versatility of this popular range of machines. The Activa 7247 S effectively bridges the gap between the Activa and Beta ranges. Like all Activas, this new machine offers excellent value for money with unbeatable performance in wet and dry conditions – and everything in between - by combining unique features and specifications from these two ranges.

Like all other Activa S models Activa S 7247 will have ‘special equipment’. ‘Special’ is the addition of the Power Feed Roller (PFR), Multi Crop Separator plus (MCS plus) and Ballast Bars for the threshing cylinder with an increase of 8% on the separation area. The machine also benefits from a 4 Speed transmission for versatility in varying crop conditions.

Feature: Powerfeed Roller
The Power Feed roller ensures an even distribution of material across the full width of the combine processor and smoothes out any lumps of crop. Also increases the feed from the header to the main elevator chains.

Benefit:

Even, full width feed increases output, improves grain sample, reduces machine wear and reduces fuel consumption.

Improves output in all crops, gives less strain on the driveline and reduces fuel consumption.

Feature: Ballast Bars Fitted as standard, Ballast bars increase the weight and strength of the threshing cylinder thus creating  a high inertial force and maintaining  a constant flow of crop in difficult conditions.

Feature: Rotary Separator
This will increase the agitation of the straw to maximise grain separation especially in difficult crop conditions. Concave can be quickly removed or installed depending on the conditions being harvested. Increases the overall separation area by 8%.

Benefit:

Increases grain separation from the straw without compromising the quality. Increasing the output of the combine.

Activa S 7247 has 6 walkers with a walker area of 6.81m² and 9.06m² of total separation area.

To ensure enough power under all conditions a SISU CTA 4-V engine with
202 kW/ 275 HP (at rated speed ISO TR 14.396) is installed.

Capacity of Activa S 7247 is also improved by a large grain tank with 8.800l.

New features for 2009 season on all Activa models (except 7240)

New to all Activa models for Harvest 2009 is the electrical adjustment of the threshing concave. Instead of 2 levers now 2 rocker switches on the dash board control the independent adjustment front and rear offering easy adjustment throughout the day dependent on crop conditions.

Furthermore the cab‘s are now equipped with an air suspension driver seat as standard equipment to have best driver‘s comfort for long days during harvest.
