Telehandler is mainly a load-lifting machine; its relationship to the crane is evident, but several features still make this machine different from self-propelled cranes:
better visibility due to a panoramic cab;
flotation ability on off-road terrain (4 õ 4 axle arrangement);
better maneuverability with the system of 4 steering wheels in 3 positions:
in trail, “crab movement” and “four wheel” arrangement (turn radius of 3.89);
a wide range of replacement equipment.
In effect, telehandler combines the benefits of crane and front loader. New Holland produces 3 models of telehandlers of 6 different configurations.
