Crawler Dozers

The main purpose of crawler dozers is layer-by-layer excavation and further relocation of soil at a distance of up to 150 m.

Crawler dozers perform the variety of jobs:

  • removal of topsoil at the building site;
  • relocation of topsoil into the working area of bucket excavator for further loading onto the vehicle;
  • excavation of shallow trenches with transport of excavated soil to a dump;
  • flat slope clean up;
  • embankment construction;
  • planning jobs (basement foundation clean up, route planning etc.);
  • construction and maintenance of access roads, exit roads from ditches;
  • soil excavation on slopes;
  • backfilling of the foundation;
  • site preparation for tree cutting, stump extraction, removal of rocks;
  • debris and snow clearing;
  • overburden operations.

The operating efficiency of crawler dozer depends on flotation ability and roadhold of the tractor. NEW HOLLAND offers medium and heavy-duty crawler dozers with hydrostatic control system (excluding D255 model) of 213 kN - 580 kN drawbar categories.

Due to hydrostatic turn control system the NEW HOLLAND crawler dozers bring the following benefits:

  • no power loss during operation at hillsides and slopes;
  • better movement control at hillsides and slopes;
  • better movement control with operating blade on turns;
  • the control is smoother, without pushes, resulting in increased capacity and fatigue-free work of the operator.

The range of blades permits to optimize loading for different jobs:

  • straight blade for hard soil and loose rock excavation;
  • spherical blade with side wings for relocation of light materials at large distance (peat, coal, planting soil etc.);
  • semi-spherical universal blade with skewing mechanism combines straight blade ability to penetrate well into the soil, and spherical blade ability to carry more material around;
  • revolving blade equipped with rotational joint at rear wall for cross-sectional soil transportation; 
  • 6-position straight blade without side jaws allows changing the cross and longitude angle of the installation (D150 model only); 
  • 6- position blade with folding expander to reduce dimensions in transport position (D150 model only).
