AMACO’s Agricultural Technologies in Regions

Farmers are increasingly paying attention to state-of-the-art technologies in order to secure a stable crops yield and a desirable level of profitability.

“The global energy crisis gives rise to the food shortage growing worldwide along with energy supply difficulties. That is why Ukrainian agricultural products are much in demand on the world markets.
This has been noticed by foreign investors as well as Ukrainian farmers, who have started to invest more money in agribusiness. Being a company that supplies agricultural machinery and technologies to Ukraine, we can point out that the demand for machinery has tripled over the last year. Farmers also are beginning to realize that a successful business requires comprehensive solutions,” said Vitaliy Skotsyk, director general of AMACO.

In a view to providing online service to consumers, AMACO plans to open 6 new regional centers in 2008-2009. Among the services to be offered at the centers, there will be a full range of state-of-the-art agricultural technologies, including livestock raising (milk and meat production), supply and maintenance of agricultural machinery, and personnel training. Agricultural infrastructure components – equipment for grain drying and storage as well as vegetables sorting and packaging – will be on display, too.

The regional warehouse has a variety of spare parts -- more than 7,000 types. In total, the stock of spare parts in Ukraine is currently valued at USD 15 million, but this figure will eventually grow by 50%, AMACO’s experts pointed out.
